An Amazing Football Experience!
Thanks to Ebenezer Makinde with Zions Bank and Nicole Criner at Boise State University, TPCRR had 4 lucky residents win the opportunity to attend a Boise State University Football game. Four lucky residents that reside at the TPC apartment communities located in Boise, Idaho, won tickets by being entered into the BSU Football Experience drawing for paying rent on time and no lease violations! Not only did our residents have great seats but they were able to take a guest and be on the sidelines as the Boise State team ran out of the tunnel at the start of the game!
Here’s what they had to say about their experiences:
"Man, my brother and I really had a fantastic blast! Great time too because we beat Mexico State! Thank you TPC Resident Rewards for this opportunity!" Robert S., Adare Apartments, Boise, Idaho
"How exciting and what perfect timing! A friend that I have had since I was 11 years old is coming to town from Oregon. I'm so excited to take her to the game and see all those handsome football players! I can't believe I won! Thank you, TPC Resident Rewards and Zions Bank!!" Deborah M., Cottonwood Meadows, Eagle, Idaho.
"Thank you for such a wonderful day! It was so much fun!" Susan T., The Foothills Apartments, Meridian, Idaho.
Thank you again to Ebenezer Makinde with Zions Bank and Nicole Criner at Boise State University for their generosity and to be able to participate in this extraordinary opportunity. We look forward to the TPC Resident Rewards Program to continue to grow and exciting events like this happening in a city near you!

Past Featured Resident:
Dennis G. - Gateway Village
Trying to build trust and enforce rules while making an apartment community a nice place to live are challenges all community managers face. Being a new manager at an apartment community can increase the intensity of these challenges. During the first few days as the new manager of Gateway Village, Nicole was welcomed to the community by a friendly resident, Dennis G. He let her know that he would be willing to help if there was anything she needed. She had no idea how quickly that offer would be accepted. The community was without maintenance staff temporarily, and Nicole could not get the pool chemicals to balance correctly or the pool pump to function. Dennis sprang to action, with a smile on his face, helping Nicole to set up the pump correctly and balancing the chemicals. The pool never looked better!
Thank you, Dennis, for going above and beyond normal resident status to help keep the community pool clean and help the new manager out. Enjoy your Worthy of Recognition Reward!

Past Featured Resident:
Ed and Bertha - Cinnamon Villas, California
Gina, the manager of Cinnamon Villas, is excited to announce the marriage of two treasured residents, Ed and Bertha. These two fell in love last year at one of Cinnamon Villas’ Friday Socials. There was such a connection that they started spending a lot of time together. Soon they decided that they wanted to get married, move out of their one-bedroom apartments, and into a two-bedroom. On July 6th, 2019, Ed and Bertha were married in a tiny ghost town in Nelson, Nevada. Being such a close community, the manager was asked to stand with them during the ceremony. Not only does Cinnamon Villas sound like a great place to live and they also host eventful Friday Socials! Congratulations, Ed and Bertha!

Past Featured Resident:
Paulette G. - Willow Springs Senior
Moving into a new home is stressful. You have found the right place (for the right price), filled out the mountain of paperwork, and completed the labor of moving. Then, concern sets in, what are the neighbors like?
That’s not a worry for anyone at Willow Springs Senior, Paulette G. is the welcoming committee! Paulette is a longtime resident at Willow Springs and introduces herself to every new person moving in. She is warm, with a dry sense of humor, putting anyone at ease. She’s big on constantly getting everyone together and making people feel important. Paulette organizes monthly potlucks and provides home cooked meals when a resident is sick or has just returned from the hospital. Following Paulette’s example, the residents help each other, have developed close relationships, and really feel like their “neighborhood” is the best place to live.

Past Featured Resident:
Patricia M. - Cottonwood Meadows, Eagle, Idaho
Each resident adds something special to our communities. It’s those who stand out that make our communities feel more like home. Patricia is one of those residents who makes Cottonwood Meadows, in Eagle, Idaho, more like family. Patricia is active in her community donating time to various causes. She goes the extra mile to help with community potlucks, takes her neighbors to doctor’s appointments when they need transportation, and always with a friendly smile. When asked what she does with the gift cards she earns from the TPC Resident Rewards program she states, “I give them away, I give them to others that are less fortunate than I am or need it more than me.” We don’t wonder why Patricia is so friendly and upbeat, true happiness comes from helping others.

Past Featured Resident:
Jim W. - Ridgecrest Senior
Strength isn’t just physically lifting an amazing amount of weight, it can also be strength from within. Strength to endure hardships, stressful times, and overcoming insurmountable odds. Jim W. at Ridgecrest Senior is one of those individuals who have an abundance of inner strength.
Twelve years ago Jim found out his kidneys were not functioning as they should, he started dialysis, and he was put on a transplant waiting list. In order to receive a new kidney, he encountered many new challenges such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, attend dialysis weekly, and staying active when he was exhausted. Instead of getting up at 4 am to go fishing, one of his favorite pastimes, he would go to DaVita dialysis 3 days. It was overwhelming but rewarding because Jim received his new kidney on January 10th, 2019. Jim is ecstatic about his new kidney and as soon as he has recovered from his surgery he wants to help others who are waiting for kidney transplants. Jim feels that his experiences and strength from within, can help others going through preparation for kidney transplantation.
He is now ready to spend more time with his grandkids, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and someday resume fishing. We are happy that Jim stayed strong and received his new lease on life.

Past Featured Resident:
Isa - Cinnamon Villas
Meet Flor, or as her friends call her “Isa”. Isa volunteers twice a week at the local soup kitchen and after her shift brings food home for many residents at Cinnamon Villas. That in itself is Worthy of Recognition, but her kindness and generosity don’t end there.
One evening a neighbor in his 90’s had cut his hand badly, living alone, he didn’t know what to do. He went to the closest apartment for help, Isa’s home. Isa immediately called 911, applied pressure to the wound, and assisted the gentleman into her home to sit down. When the paramedics arrived Isa translated the gentleman and the paramedic's conversation. When Isa asked him which family member she could call, he replied that he didn’t have family and would go to the hospital alone. Compassion overwhelmed Isa, she couldn’t allow him to go to the hospital alone. So she jumped into her car and followed the ambulance to the emergency room. Five hours later her neighbor was released, she drove him home, and has been looking after him ever since.
A friendship formed that day between two residents that didn’t know each other. Our gratitude goes to Isa for making our community a close, caring place to live.

Past Featured Resident:
Cindy C. - Stony Creek Senior
This Summer California was hit hard with multiple wildfires throughout the state, in which the property manager of her community was called to aid in fighting the fires. Without a manager or maintenance person available a beloved resident, Cindy C, decided to take the initiative to do what she felt was “her part” as a resident to take care of her community. With all the ash from the fires falling upon the property daily, Cindy took it upon herself to sweep and wash the ash away in areas to make it more sanitary for all residents. Cindy kept the pool area clean of debris and cobwebs, cleared walkways and wiped down the building sides from dust and ash. She even removed trash and maintained common areas without ever being asked. The other residents admired Cindy’s ambition and soon began to follow her lead helping maintain the community in the manager’s absence. All the while giving all recognition to Cindy for her devotion and contribution as a resident to the property. Cindy’s initiative and leadership were much appreciated and a prime example of just one of many great residents at Stony Creek Senior. Thank you, Cindy.

Past Featured Resident:
Lynda M - The Groves at Lindsay
We would love to thank everyone for participating in the "Love where you live Apartment" decorating contest. It was hard to decide but here are the winners:
1st Place- 10,000 Points- Lynda M., The Groves at Lindsay, Lindsay, California
Lynda is so thankful for the apartment she lives in, that has all the conveniences to make life easier. She loves the views of the mountain peaks and the beautiful landscape throughout the community. Lynda is also quick to praise her community manager and maintenance staff as they have always been quick to respond to her needs as well as friendly.
2nd Place- 7,500 Points- Oleta K., Stony Creek Senior, Williams, California
Oleta loves her apartment home and her neighbors are always friendly and willing to help when she needs it. She also enjoys the manager's enthusiasm when it comes to her apartment community. He is always encouraging residents to participate in resident functions and the TPC Resident Rewards program. Oleta also likes that the owner created the TPC RR program for residents to earn points to get rewards for things they already do like pay rent on time.
3rd Place- 5,000 Points- Cheryl H., Courtyards at Ridgecrest, Nampa, Idaho
Cheryl loves where she lives as it feels more like a family than an apartment community. The neighborhood kids help with the garden, neighbors deliver food randomly and buy her cat and dogs presents. She believes her community is a perfect place for people who love people, activities and being involved with the community "family". Cheryl also loves to decorate so she was thrilled to be able to do so in hope to win a prize.
Stay tuned for our next decorating contest coming soon!!

Past Featured Resident:
Matt K. - Courtyards at Sheridan
When you start apartment hunting your focus is on affordability, location, and size, not how helpful your neighbor will be. At Courtyards at Sheridan Apartments, there’s a neighbor that goes out of his way to help those around him, Matt K.
In front of Matt’s building, there are two handicapped parking spaces for the residents living there. In the winter, he ensures the walkways to the spaces are clear and is always available to lend a hand whether it be unloading groceries or holding the door. These small acts of kindness are the ones that can make someone’s day brighter. Thank you, Matt, for going out of your way to make someone’s day.

Past Featured Resident:
Bonnie P. - Wind River, Wyoming
Bonnie isn’t your normal resident, she is an amazing neighbor and inspiring woman. Seventeen years ago Bonnie was diagnosed with a medical condition that would change her life forever, Multiple Sclerosis. Bonnie had an active lifestyle, was raising her teenage son, and doctors told her that her future would soon include a wheelchair. After battling the initial impact of the diagnosis, Bonnie sprang into action. She started researching how to live with her diagnosis, staying healthy, active, and strong. Working with her doctors and paying attention to her body, she continues to have an active lifestyle, taking daily walks, working part-time at the local visitor’s center, and sharing her enthusiasm for life with everyone she encounters.
Bonnie celebrates the day she was diagnosed each year as her “Birthday” as saying, "Every year I get to celebrate that I am still walking, working, and moving, MS is not who I am". She decided to defy the odds astonishing her doctors, family members, and her neighbors at Wind River Apartments by staying very active to this day. Bonnie often helps her neighbors and around the community. Providing a smile and friendly spirit, she goes the extra mile bringing home-baked treats for her neighbors and our office staff. Bonnie is a one of a kind inspiration, taking the negative in life and turning it into a positive opportunity, never giving up the fight.
Thank you for being a bright light at Wind River Apartments, we are fortunate to have you.
Other Worthy of Recognition residents include:
Erika is a wonderful addition to Paigewood Apartment Community. Childcare is expensive and single parents at Paigewood benefit from Erika watching their children after school. She also volunteers to organize afterschool activities and community events at Paigewood. Thank you, Erika!
Abel and his family are positive role models at Salado Orchards Apartments. They are very involved with the local community coaching multiple sports teams and volunteering with the homework club. Promoting an active lifestyle as well as education are important tools for a bright future. Go team Abel!

Past Featured Resident:
Ashley - Salado Orchards, California
During the hot, California Summer, one of the main water lines broke in front of Salado Orchards Apartments, causing the water to be turned off to the entire community. What happened next will surprise you.
Ashley, a dedicated resident since 2013, sprang into action. She is always keeping an eye on the community's appearance, being a friendly neighbor to all who live there, and she knew she had to help. Armed with her bubbly disposition and ability to stay calm in hectic situations, Ashley set out to help notify her neighbors about the mainline break and lack of water to their homes. Taking "being a good neighbor" a step further she also helped calm restless neighbors by passing out water bottles and updating them of the repair progress. It sure made a bothersome situation more bearable for everyone at Salado Orchards.
We celebrate you, Ashley, for being such a Good Samaritan.
